                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
                   OF A DEDICATED RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED AT 215
                   CHESTNUT STREET, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby
         abandoned a portion of a dedicated right-of-way located at 215
         Chestnut Street, more particularly described herein, and as 
shown
         on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
        
                A 5-foot width of right-of-way along the west side
                of Chestnut Street from West 3rd Street to a point
                165 feet north of the north right-of-way line on
                West 3rd Street leaving a 35-foot right-of-way west
                of the centerline of Chestnut Street.
               
                On property located on Lot 5, Golden Gateway, Urban
                Renewal Project, ROHC, Plat Book 53-235 at 215
                Chestnut Street.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.    BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this
         Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its 
passage
         as provided by law.
